Please Support Scott Del Conte for Supreme Court Justice

To The Editor:
Election Day 2016 is rapidly approaching and there are a number of candidates running for office this year in addition to the Presidential contest dominating the news.

One of those positions is Justice of the Supreme Court in 5th Judicial District.

This jurisdiction covers six counties (the others are Onondaga, Jefferson, Oneida, Lewis and Herkimer) and is a mid-level judgeship in New York State, which is not to be confused with the nine positions of the United States Supreme Court in Washington DC.

It is a trial dominated court dealing mainly with civil and criminal matters.

There are two seats available in 2016 and one of the four candidates on the ballot is Scott Del Conte.

I am supporting Scott Del Conte because of his deep commitment to the people of Central New York and the professional manner in which he has conducted himself since he entered the legal profession.

I have known Scott for many years and have come to know him as a decent and hardworking attorney who also possess integrity and independence.

He has given his clients 110 % effort when it comes to all matters regarding the law.

Scott, as a judge, will give the same effort in managing his own courtroom.

He will also be fair and balanced and will use only the law when it comes to making decisions.

Scott grew up in this region and choose to stay and raise his family here.

He and his wife, Heather, are extremely active in the community and also happen to be small business owners.

In addition to the work at his law firm, Scott, Heather and their four children manage a small farm in the town of Volney in Oswego County.

Every summer, their year-round hard work is on display at the Oswego County Fair and the New York State Fair.

I strongly urge the voters in the 5th Judicial District to cast their vote for my friend, Scott Del Conte, on Tuesday, November 8.

Dan Farfaglia
Oswego County Legislator
24th District
Minority Leader
