On 6/22/08 at 11:55 a.m., Brett E. Simoneau, 34, of1321 CR 1, Oswego, NY was operating a 1995 Oldsmobile northbound on CR 29 in the Town of Scriba, when the vehicle reportedly failed to stop at the intersection with SR 104, crossed the road and struck a sign post. Mr. Simoneau was ticketed for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and Speed Not Reasonable.
On 6/26/08 at 9:29 p.m., Jaime L. Thorpe, 21, of 38 Birch Lane, Oswego, NY was operating a 1996 Plymouth in a parking lot 50 ft. off of Birch Lane in the Town of Scriba when the vehicle was reportedly going too fast and collided with a parked 1997 Dodge, registered to Johnathan Poyneer, 23, of 49 Nolan Drive, Pulaski, NY. Ms. Thorpe was ticketed for Speed Not Reasonable.
On 6/28/08, Kelly K. Dove, 28, of 1105 Buckley Road, Liverpool, NY was arrested at 5:47 p.m. for Operating a Vessel with a BAC level of .08 of 1%; Operating a Vessel While Intoxicated; Operating a Vessel not Wearing a Flotation Device and no Boater’s Safety Certificate, all of the Navigation Law, after reportedly being observed by patrol on Oneida Lake not wearing a flotation device while operating a personal watercraft. Ms. Dove was issued UTT’s, returnable to the Town of West Monroe Court on 8/18/08.
On 6/29/08 at 10:09 a.m., Becky R. Sage, 23, of 250 CR 34, Martville, NY was operating a 1995 Chevy northbound on CR 6 in the Town of Volney when reportedly a tire on the vehicle blew out causing the vehicle to go off the east side of the road through a ditch and into a stream. Ms. Sage and a passenger, Adriana Walker, 5, were transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
On 6/29/08 at 3:31 a.m., a 17 year old male residing in the Town of Hannibal was charged with Disorderly Conduct after the investigation into a disturbance complaint of a loud party. When patrol informed the occupants that the party was over, the male became irate. He was issued an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Hannibal Court on 7/15/08.
On 6/29/08 at 6:10 p.m., Daniel N. Janack, 20, of 128 Spencer Rd., Pulaski, NY was operating a 2001 Chevy northbound on I- 81, 1 1/10 miles south of SR 104, when the vehicle reportedly hit a spot in the road surface that caused it to hydroplane, spin out and go down into the median striking a tree. Mr. Janack was taken by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
On 6/29/08 at 4:55 p.m., Theresa L. Sawyer, 51, of PO Box 271, Mexico, NY was operating a 2006 Harley Davidson westbound on CR 28 in the Town of Richland when she reportedly was not aware of the traffic light so when a 2001 Harley Davidson driven by Sonny M. Presley, 47, of PO Box 751, Mexico, NY had stopped at the red light, Ms. Sawyer’s motorcycle rear ended Mr. Presley’s causing her to be ejected off. Ms. Sawyer was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
On 6/30/08 at 7:14 a.m., Michael E. Shoults Jr., 27, of 134 Bingham Rd., Oswego, NY was operating a 1997 Ford northbound on CR 8 in the Town of Granby when the vehicle reportedly went off the shoulder of the roadway heading east, struck a utility pole, then a tree and finally overturning. Mr. Shoults was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. The investigation into the cause of this accident continues.
On 6/30/08, William B. Russell, 19, of 348 CR 29, Oswego, NY was arrested at 9:30 p.m. for Criminal Mischief, 4th and Petit Larceny, both class A misdemeanors following an investigation into a criminal mischief complaint where he reportedly picked up a bar stool and threw it, breaking a window after he was asked to leave a residence. During the investigation, items belonging to another individual were found on Mr. Russell. He was arraigned before Town of Scriba Judge Adkins and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500.00 cash or $1000.00 bail bond. Mr. Russell is scheduled to return to the Town of Scriba Court on 7/10/08.
