On 7/2/08 at 9:31 p.m., Mary F. Bailey, 63, of 132 Lyon St., Oswego, NY was operating a 2000 Saturn west on CR 1 in the Town of Scriba when a 2005 Chevrolet operated by Peggy A. Corbett, 50, of 206 Honey Hill Rd., Fulton, NY entered the roadway from a private drive and collided with Ms. Bailey’s. Ms. Bailey was transported by ambulance to Oswego Hospital. Ms. Corbett was issued a ticket for Failure to Yield the Right of Way Entering a Road.
On 7/03/08 at 1:15 p.m., Torrie R. Hendricks, 29, of 203 Towne Road, Pulaski, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Third Degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Fourth Degree, a class C felony, after she was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. Ms. Hendricks was arraigned before the Hon. James Ridgeway, Town of Richland Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond. She is scheduled to appear before Town of Albion Court on 7/07/08 to answer the charge.
On 7/04/08 at 11:06 p.m., Wayne M. Checksfield, 29, of 1031 CR 12, Pennellville, NY, was arrested for Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A misdemeanors, following an investigation into a domestic dispute that took place in the presence of a minor. Mr. Checksfield was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Schroeppel Court on7/24/08.
On 7/04/08 at 11:23 p.m., Daniel S. Atkins, 40, of 7156 Lakeshore Road, Cicero, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (9 scoffs of 3 dates), and Inadequate Lighting, following a traffic stop on SR 104 at Lincoln Avenue in the Village of Mexico after he was observed driving with one headlight. Mr. Atkins was released on tickets returnable to Town of Mexico Court on 7/22/08.
On 7/05/08 at 2:01 a.m., John J. Young, III, 20, of 3924 Maple Ridge Road Newark, NY, was arrested for felony Driving While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident following the investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred on CR 85 in the Town of Granby in which he reportedly stated while swerving to miss a deer, lost control, leaving the roadway and struck a mailbox and well cover before striking a tree. He was arraigned before the Hon. Bruce Wells, Town of Granby Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 7/10/08.
On 7/06/08 at 12:30 a.m., Richard H. West, Jr., 21, of 25 Bradshaw Road, Central Square, NY, was arrested for Criminal Sex Act, Second Degree, a class D felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child,
a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation from a complaint that alleges he had inappropriate sexual contact with a 14 year female on or about 7/4/08. Mr. West was arraigned before the Town of Palermo Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to answer these charges before Town of Palermo Court on 7/21/08.
On 7/06/08 at 3:20 p.m., Joshua A. Burr, 20, of 5 Lazarek Drive, Oswego, NY, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by Town of New Haven Court charging him with Criminal Mischief, Third Degree, and Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Burr was arraigned before Town of Scriba Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of New Haven Court on 7/10/08.
On 7/06/08 at 5:20 p.m., Tiffany S. VanHorn, 26, of 1206 Middle Road, Oswego, NY, was arrested at the Oswego County Correctional Facility based on a bench warrant issued by Town of Granby Court charging her with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree. Ms. VanHorn was arraigned before the Hon. Michael Sterio, Town of Oswego Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bail bond. She is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Granby Court on 7/07/08.
On 7/6/08, Lance E. Homer, 22, of 37 Sharp Rd., Fulton, NY was arrested at 9;25 p.m. for Reckless Driving, Operating a MV without Insurance and Operated an Unregistered Motorcycle after he was reportedly observed traveling northbound on SR 481 in the Town of Scriba, riding a wheelie. Mr. Homer was issued UTT”s, returnable to the Town of Scriba Court on 7/31/08.
On 7/6/08, Daniel J. Carrigan, 30, of 41 Blumer Rd., Pennellville, NY was arrested at 2:55 a.m. for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a MV; Registration Suspended; Speed Exceeding 55 mph and Operating a MV w/o Insurance after a traffic stop on CR 4 in the Town of Palermo initiated by his excessive speed. Mr. Carrigan was issued UTT’s, returnable to the Town of Palermo Court on 7/28/08.
