Oswego County Sheriff’s Office 11/03/2008

On 10/30/08 at 12:10 p.m., a 15 year old male residing in the Village of Pulaski, was taken into custody based on a Family Court Warrant.  The youth appeared before the Hon. David J. Roman, Oswego County Family court, and turned over to a detention facility where he will await a return court appearance at a later date.

On 10/30/08 at 8:33 p.m., Christopher R. Aubin, 26, of 2270 US 11, Parish, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree; Failure to Yield Right of Way When Turning Left; and Operation Without Insurance following an investigation into a four-vehicle accident that occurred on CR 29 in the Town of Scriba.  Mr. Aubin was released on tickets returnable to Town of Scriba Court on 11/10/08.  Mr. Aubin was reportedly operating a 1997 Dodge van northbound on CR 29 when he collided with a southbound 2005 Ford pickup truck driven by Darrick M. Baker, 29, of 4230 SR 104, Mexico, NY.  The incident occurred 1/10 of a mile south of CR 1 when Mr. Aubin was attempting to make a left hand turn into a parking lot and turned in front of the truck causing the vehicles to collide.  The truck reportedly continued into the parking lot and collided with two parked vehicles, a 2005 Chevrolet suburban registered to Terri L. Proud, 41, of 329 Rowlee Road, Fulton, NY, and a 1996 Nissan registered to Michelle M. Talcott, 27, of 112 Andrews Avenue, Endicott, NY.  Driver inattention appears to have been a contributing factor in the incident.

On 10/31/08 at 9:35 a.m., arrested for Tanya A. Fenske, 24, of 30 West 11th St., Apt. 3, Fulton, NY, was arrested based on a warrant issued by Oswego County Court charging her with Promoting Prison Contraband, First Degree, a class D felony.  Ms. Fenske was arraigned before the Hon. David J. roman, Oswego County Family Court, and remanded to the Oswego County correctional Facility without bail pending a return to court appearance on 11/05/08.  The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on 11/18/07 when Ms. Fenske was reportedly found to possess a controlled substance while incarcerated, medication she allegedly brought into the facility while serving weekends.

On 10/31/08 at 6:55 p.m., Joseph R. Amaya, 20, of 253 Syracuse Avenue, Oswego, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree; Crossing Hazardous Road Markings; and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana following a traffic stop on Fulton Avenue in the Village of Hannibal.  Mr. Amaya was issued tickets and released.  He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Hannibal Court on 11/18/08.

On 11/01/08 at 12:10 p.m., Matthew D. Sabin, 26, of 98 CR 8, Fulton, NY, was arrested based on a Family Court Warrant charging him with violating Article IV of the Family Court Act (failure to pay support).  Mr. Sabin was taken for arraignment to Fulton City Court where an active bench warrant issued by Fulton City Court was revealed.  Arraigned on that active bench warrant, Mr. Sabin was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond..  He is scheduled to return to Fulton City Court on 11/05/08.  He was subsequently arraigned before Town of Volney Court on the Family Court Warrant and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond.  He is scheduled to appear before Oswego County Family Court on 11/03/08 to answer the Family Court Warrant.

On 11/01/08 at 5:58 p.m., Michael B. LaValley, 24, of 2819 SR 69, Parish, NY, was Criminal Trespass, Second Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A misdemeanors, after he reportedly entered a residence without invite after a minor answered his knocking on the door, then refused to leave when asked to do so.  Once inside Mr. LaValley allegedly started to pick a fight with the resident who forcibly removed him from the residence.  Mr. LaValley was arraigned before Town of Mexico Court and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to return to court on 11/18/08.

On 11/02/08 at 5:26 a.m., Daniel Ortman, 21, of 257 Distin Road, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Fifth Degree, a class B misdemeanor, after he was found to be in possession of the illegal substance after he was found asleep in the stairwell of an apartment complex in the Village of Mexico.  Mr. Ortman was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Mexico Court on 11/18/08.

On 11/02/08 at 11:35 a.m., Gary F. Dunsmore, Jr., 37, of 867 Middle Road, Oswego, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (previous alcohol-related offense), and Speed In Zone, following a traffic stop on Middle Road in the Town of Scriba.  Mr. Dunsmore was released on tickets returnable to Town of Scriba Court on 11/13/08.

On 11/02/08 at 6:00 p.m., a 16 year old male residing in the Town of Schroeppel, was arrested for Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor, after being accused of causing damage to a fence located on the property of a Town of Schroeppel residence by kicking the boards out of it reportedly to access a trail the owner was attempting to block to maintain privacy.  The youth was arraigned before Town of Schroeppel Court who issued an Order of Protection and released him on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to return to court on 11/18/08 to answer the charges.
