On 11/11/08 at 10:25 a.m., Roberto A. Rivera, 20, of 82 West Second St., Oswego, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (two suspensions for failure to answer in the Town of Volney on 11/02/07); Transparency of Windows; and Lighting Not in Use following a traffic stop after he was observed driving westbound on CR 24 in the Town of Minetto without headlights during the use of his windshield wipers and with illegal tinted windows. Mr. Rivera was issued tickets returnable to Town of Minetto Court on 12/04/08.
On 11/11/08 at 6:57 p.m., Christopher J. Arton, 23, of 584 Pumphouse Road, Mexico, NY, was arrested for Grand Larceny, Fourth Degree, a class E felony, and Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after he allegedly stole a car from the driveway of a Town of Mexico residence during the overnight hours of 10/23/08. He was further arrested for a separate charge of Petit Larceny, after being accused of entering several vehicles that were parked at another Town of Mexico residence, stealing items from one of the vehicle, an act that took place during the overnight hours on or about 10/22/08. Mr. Arton was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer all charges before Town of Mexico Court on 11/08/08.
