Barclay To Host Annual Blood Drive With  American Red Cross

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) will host his annual blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on Friday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the McCrobie Building in Oswego. Blood donations are critical for those undergoing surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses or traumatic injuries. Supply cannot always meet demand, as only 3% of age-eligible individuals donate blood each year, which is why Assemblyman Barclay continues to encourage those who are able to donate when they can.

To schedule an appointment, please contact Assemblyman Barclay’s office at 315-598-5185 or visit the American Red Cross website. For those donating, it takes 8 to 10 minutes to give blood, with a total time to register and replenish of about one hour and 15 minutes. Donors are encouraged to eat well and hydrate before their appointment.
