Practicing to Prepare ‘Pink’ Pancakes

VOLNEY, NY – Volney Elementary School Principal Jeff Hendrickson along with students from the school take some time to practice their “Pink” Pancake preparation skills for the upcoming “Pink” Pancake Breakfast Nov. 18 at Lakeview Manor.

All proceeds from this breakfast will be donated to Komen for the Cure for the fight against Breast Cancer. The breakfast, which celebrates those who have survived breast cancer, will also create awareness of this terrible disease.

The pancakes will be served from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Reservations for breakfast may be made by calling Lakeview Lanes at 593-8070 but are not necessary to attend. Cost for adults is $7; Senior Citizens $6; children 4-10 $3.50 and under three are free.

Organizers will also be holding a bake sale in conjunction with the breakfast. For more information about the event, contact Volney Elementary School or Lakeview Manor.
