Pulaski Historical Society Plans Lunches, Other Activities

PULASKI – The Pulaski Historical Society will hold the next in this year’s series of Brown Bag Lunches on June 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

You are invited to bring your lunch (or pick up some take-out at a local eatery) and come join us in the Carriage House at the Pulaski Historical Society.

Take time to talk with your coworkers and neighbors, and perhaps make new friends.

Coffee, tea or water will be provided.

We will also be selling soup, a cup for $1 or a bowl for $2.

For our June Brown Bag Lunch, come to hear “Number, Please,” a panel discussion of former telephone operators with the Pulaski phone company.

They will share their stories and talk about their experiences.

If you were an operator, or know one, please join us for a lively time.

There will also be a display of telephone-related memorabilia in the Carriage House.

Also during the month of June, there are several special exhibits on display. “Spring Bonnets and Fashions” and “Prom Time” will be in the Museum, and “School Memories” will be in the Carriage House.

The Pulaski Historical Society is located at 3428 Maple Ave., across from Mavis Tire/Cole Muffler in the village.

The museum is open in June from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Come for free guided tours.

Volunteers are also available to help with research and questions at the regular work sessions on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
