“Before I began my career in sales, I worked many years ago for Chris Burritt detailing cars,” Sanchez said. “It always felt like family and it feels like I’m coming back home being on the Burritt team again.”

Burritt Motors’ history dates back to 1955 in Hannibal when Chris’ grandfather, Elmer O. Burritt, purchased a Chevrolet franchise that ran until 1963, when emphysema forced him into retirement. To expand in a larger market, Chris’ father, Richard, purchased the assets of a Chevrolet dealership that had been located on Oswego’s East Third Street. About a year later, he built the present dealership on Rt. 104. The dealership celebrates its 54th anniversary this year and can be reached at (315) 343-8948, or at  www.burrittmotors.com.
