OSWEGO, NY – On October 27, Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training and SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations will gather women from across New York State for Connections, a day-long conference to be held at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This day-long symposium is something you won’t want to miss.
Women employees and business owners need inspiration, ideas, information, and other women to network with.
The theme for this year’s event is “Achieve – Inspire – Embrace Excellence” and will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, continental breakfast, lunch, and a dessert reception. Following lunch, our speakers will participate in a panel Q&A.
Sandy Sadley, senior principle business analyst at Epicor Software, a leading provider of wholesale distribution software solutions, will present “Getting Inspired in the 9th Inning.”
Women leading software development teams in a youthful male dominated industry are rare; let alone by a woman who is the “9th inning” of her career.
How do you stay motivated, communicate successfully with your team, and inspire fellow team workers to attain goals, deliver quality and meet deadlines?
How do you communicate with a team that all could be your kids and who are much more tech savvy than you ever will be?
Learn tips on how to inspire others to achieve and deliver results for greater customer satisfaction regardless of what inning your career is in.
Again this year, headshots will be offered by Dayger Photography, with no sitting fee. Free hair and makeup touchups will also be available.
Also returning this year is Bee-Hive Networking, a business building activity that allows you to find exactly what you are looking for in a very short period of time.
There are no elevator speeches, no selling, and no fears or discomforts. Each attendee could walk away with an average of 12-20 cards of qualified prospects who want to meet them. Come “catch the buzz” with Bee-Hive Networking.
Please be sure to come armed with 100 business cards.
This year Connections has created the “Woman of Power” award.
This award will recognize a woman whose civic and community service goes beyond “normal” responsibilities, creating a lasting and beneficial impact on the community.
