The modified softball team played well as the season wound down. Oswego scored a pair of wins with an 8-4 verdict over Liverpool and an 11-8 win over FM.
Against Liverpool Kate Dufore pitched a complete game and struck out eight while walking just one. She only allowed three singles over the seven innings. Emily Kolenda continued her torrid hitting with two doubles and a single. Ashley Wapen, Vicky Race, MacKenzie Wadas and Dufore each had two hits. Lindsey Ramsey turned in a key defensive play in right field.
Oswego moved to 10-4 with the win over FM. MacKenzie King picked up the win with four innings on the mound. She struck out five, walked two and gave up three hits. Ashley Wapen struck out five and walk no one in three innings of two hit relief.
Bri Favata was 3×3 while Emily Kolenda lashed out a triple, a double and a single. Wapen homer while Wadas doubled. MacKenzie Oatman, Chrissy Abare and Sarah Mancuso each had base hits.
Oatman tossed out a runner in a crucial point of the game and ended the contest on a tag play at the plate off a perfect throw from Kate Dufore in left field.
The Lady Bucs moved to 10-2.
