Oswego City School District Athletic Director Scott Sugar proudly announced the scholar-athlete teams for the recently concluded Spring seasons.
Sugar said, “This Spring every Oswego High School varsity team earned a scholar-athlete ranking. I am proud of our student athletes as they have proven to be able to balance academics and sports. They have all brought credit to not only themselves, but also their families, teachers and district.”
Leading the teams was the girl’s track and field competitors with a 96.768. The scholar-athletes included Catherine DiVita, Ashley Welsch, Alexis Files, Morganne Atutis, Monique Reeser, Sarah Hill, Rachel Healy, Alexis Gillard, Sara Sheffield, Elizabeth Donovan, Kelsey Scanlon, Candace Supernavage, Mackenzie Dunsmoor, Aryelle Caruso, Allison Knight, Jillian Doty, Michaela Auer, Sarah Miller, Jasmine Davis, Kasama Laosen, Jessica Sheffield, Vanessa Sheffield, Sara Rogers, Michelle Champagne, Ashley Fidler, Kali Purt and Mara Parker.
The softball team earned a 93.29 average with Marissa Canale, Alexis Deming, Michele Canale, Sarah Petrie, Casey Gill, Morgan Lavner, Laura Miceli, Sara Molinari, Emily Oleyourryk, Amanda Ranous and Carley Carson.
The golf team earned a 92.69 average and included Mallorie Shannon, Katie VanWert, Savannah Bell, Mariah LaLonde, Jesse Lalande, Rachel Baxter, Emily Fiorini, Emily Fountain, Carolyn Clemmens and Kristin Hoefer.
The boy’s lacrosse team achieved a 92.423 average behind the efforts of Sam Czarnecki, Steven Czarnecki, Gregory King, David Hamler, Ted Croucher, Matthew Howard, Eric Witmer, Cody Casaletta, Theodore Reifke, Alexander Bush and Wesley Ihlow.
The girl’s lacrosse team achieved a 91.08 average and the scholar-athletes included Nicole Paulhardt, Ali Hawthorn, Nicole Pritchard, Elizabeth Schultz, Lauren Hunt, Jessica Mazur, Amanda D’Amico, Nicole Nalle, Sarah Skinner, Maia Czarnecki, Morgan McNamara, Michelle Stepien, Leah Folgherait, Brittany Howard, Gina Wyatt, Taylor Castaldo and Brooke Reifinger.
The baseball team earned a 90.69 average and included Steve Kolenda, Jason Audlin, Robert Canale, Jeremy Linn, Andrew Lazzaro, Shane Demo, Robert Lowery, Cody Brett, Nathan Diehl, Tom Darling, Adam McPherson and Stephen Stemple.
The boy’s tennis team achieved a 90.526 average and included Matthew Randall, Chen Cheng, Joseph Hart, Dylan Hryckewicz, Brandon DeSantis, Richard Mandanas, Bradley McGivney, Stephen Hoefer, Oliver Loy, Zachariah Schrecengost and Derek Roth.
Meanwhile the boy’s track and field team achieved a 90.4 average behind the efforts of Mitch Maniccia, Steve Livotti, Adam Johnson, Tom Graber, Colin Morgan, Ryan Pekarek, Fred Johnson, Eli Tyler, Mitch Galvin, Anthony Scaccia, Zach McQuaid, Tom Ruggio and Derek Grindle.
