Oswego JV Boys Lose Close Lacrosse Game To Auburn

The Oswego JV Boys Lacrosse team (5-7) lost a nail biter Friday (May 9th) 11-10, to the Auburn Maroons. Trailing 7-3 at halftime the JV Bucs scored six goals in the third quarter to force a 9-9 tie going into the final quarter of play. After trading early goals in the fourth quarter Auburn finally pulled ahead for good with less than two minutes to play in the game.

Leading the charge for the Bucs was Matt Donovan who scored three of the six third quarter goals and four total. Ryan Ramsey and Matt Lloyd finished the day with two goals. Josh Lyons and Dustin Kavanaugh also chipped in with one goal apiece.

Ramsey paced the offense picking up two assists. Lloyd and Ryan Higgins finished with an assist as well.

Defensively the Bucs held tight with the strong play of Nathan Pacheco, Jared Cooper, Dan Tyo, Colin Joyce and Brandon Galloway.

Garrett Crisafulli played strong all day stopping some point blank shots and finishing with 9 saves.

The JV Bucs look to get back on track at home Wednesday versus Central Square.
