MEN’S B – FAST

WHEAT’S EXCAVATION 10 BUDWEISER 6

Jim Bevacqua allowed only 6 hits as Wheat’s Excavation defeated Budweiser 10 to 6. Scoring 8 runs over the first two innings was all the offensive support Bevacqua needed. John Finch and Aaron Fritton both tripled for Wheat’s, while Tom Farrell doubled, and Adam Metcalf added two hits. For Budweiser John Simmons had a double, while Bob Little had two hits.

CUTRO’S PROFESSIONAL INSPECTIONS 1 OSWEGO QUALITY CARPET 0

A strong pitching performance by Shawn Sampson in which he surrender only 2 hits while striking out 10 Cutro’s Professional Inspections blanked Oswego Quality Carpet 1 to 0. The only run of the game came in the top of the fourth, when a single by Joe Salazzo drove home Mark Lazzaro who doubled earlier in the inning. In addition to Lazzaro’s double, he singled, while Salazzo had two hits in the game and Mike Donovan had one. For Oswego Quality Carpets Josh Flett had one of the hits given up by Sampson while Ron Cahill had the other.

MEN’S MODIFIED

CAMPUS HEIGHTS 13 CHEAP SEATS 4

In modified action, Campus Heights broke open a tie game with a five run fourth en route to a 13 to 4 win over Cheap Seats. Shawn Murray had a two run homer in the fifth for Campus Heights. Mike Goodman had a double for Campus Heights, while Bob Little, John Burns and Sean Kelly had two hits each. Winning Pitcher Troy Kocher added a single. For Cheap Seats, Jason Waughtel singled and homered, while George Bateman, Joe Crahan, Paul Burgess and Jason Taylor had one hit each. Gary Homes added two.

OCA 14 SOUTH FORTY 3

OCA remained undefeated atop the modified division with a 14 to 3 win over South 40. Picking up two singles and a triple for OCA was Aaron Fritton, and Greg Distin. Fred Kent and Jason Cenaro added a single and triple each. For South 40 Ron Cahill had a triple, and Josh Flett a double. Scott Leonard picked up the win allowing only 5 hits.
