PARISH – Kaleb Higgins from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District was a recipient of the National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Award, Central New York Chapter, recently.

The honor affords Higgins with a $500 scholarship, which is endowed by the Central New York Chapter of the NFF and College Hall of Fame.
Recipients of this award demonstrated excellence and citizenship in the classroom and on the football field.
With the help of many community members and organizations, the chapter was able to award over $40,750 in scholarships to numerous high school and collegiate athletes this year.
All scholar athletes were invited to the 15th Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Dinner held at Turning Stone Resort.
An APW alum, Gregory Palmer, also received the award for his athletic and scholar performances at Utica College.
This was his second time attending this banquet as he also received the honor during his senior year of High School at APW. Palmer is now one of four individuals to ever receive the honor both in high school and college.
