OSWEGO, New York – Members of the business community have joined on as sponsors of the upcoming Folds of Honor Golf Tournament to be held on Monday, September 28th at the Oswego Country Club.

A variety of sponsors from throughout the community are making cash contributions to the event, on course food and/or beverage donations, silent auction items, and prize giveaways.

The golf tournament will directly benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation, a charitable organization with a mission to empower deserving military families with educational support and opportunities.  They provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of service members disabled or killed as a result of military service.

“Thank you so much to the local businesses that have already partnered with us for the Folds of Honor event,” said Jon Fowler, head PGA Professional at the Oswego Country Club. “Businesses like Eagle Beverage and Pathfinder Bank, as well as individuals like Dr. Guthikonda, are just a few of the many who have joined on as sponsors.”

Registration for the four-person captain-n-crew tournament starts at 10:30 a.m. and a shotgun start begins at Noon. The cost is $70 per person or $280 per team, and the field is limited to 36 teams. Persons interested in participating should sign up immediately at the Pro Shop or call (315) 343-1941. The golf tournament is open to the public and includes golf, cart, food, prizes, a commemorative gift, on-course games, and more.

According to Fowler, there are five different sponsorship opportunities available, with each level representing a fold in a military presented flag, including: Life (Major Sponsor), Allegiance (Event Sponsor), Remembrance (Dinner Sponsor), Our Country (Lunch Sponsor), Our Hearts (Tee/Green Sponsor). Donations for silent auction items and prize giveaways are also being accepted. Businesses or individuals can request a sponsorship form by calling the Pro Shop at (315) 343-1941 or Step One Strategic Giving at (315) 342-2554.
