City of Fulton Fall Softball League Results For Wednesday, 9/17/08

6:00  Save-A-Lot sacked Lakeview Lanes, 18-6.  Save-A-Lot scored thirteen runs before Lakeview Lanes answered with a run in the fifth.  Save-A-Lot padded their lead while Lakeview Lanes added five runs over the final few innings in an attempt to spark a rally, but fell short.  John Newman crushed a three-run home run, tripled in two runs and scored for Save-A-Lot, Steve Burrows doubled, singled twice, scored three times and drove in two RBIs as John Allen smacked a grand slam and singled.  Jerry Devendorf tripled, singled and scored once for Lakeview Lanes, Al Painter singled, scored and sacrificed home a run while Billy Orr Jr tripled home two RBIs.

7:00  Save-A-Lot struck down Lakeview Lanes, 22-7.  Save-A-Lot’s defense kept Lakeview Lanes from scoring until the fifth inning while the offense scored in all but the first inning.  John Allen crushed another grand slam, singled twice, scored three times and amassed five RBIs for Save-A-Lot, Steve Burrows socked a grand slam and netted five RBIs while John Newman sliced three singles, scored twice and knocked in two runs.  Karl LaGray singled twice, walked and scored twice for Lakeview Lanes, Adam Pawlenko tripled in two runs and scored once as John Haresign doubled, singled and scored a run.

8:00  Huhtamaki penned Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s, 25-9.  Huhtamaki took a two-run lead after the first before erupting for fifteen runs in the second to put the game away.  Matt Bort socked a two-run home run, tripled, doubled twice, scored three times, and drove in four RBIs for Huhtamaki, Greg Marshall tripled home two RBIs, doubled in a run, singled and scored three times as Shane Crandell stroked three singles, scored three runs and drove in three RBIs.  Mike Hartman singled in two runs and sacrificed home another for Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s, Dave Grover singled twice to knock home two RBIs while Dwayne Chenette reached base twice, scored once and drove in two runs.

9:00  Huhtamaki waltzed away from Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s, 14-2.  Huhtamaki scored four times in the first with Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s getting a run in the bottom of the first before Huhtamaki tallied ten unanswered runs over the final four innings.  Matt Bort belted three doubles, scored twice and delivered seven RBIs for Huhtamaki, Will DuMont slugged a two-run home run, doubled and walked as Josh Giacolone reached base three times and scored twice.  Dustin Pulsifer lined a RBI double and a single for Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s, Dave Grover singled a run home while John Turner and Dan Johnson each smacked a hit and scored a run.
