City of Fulton Softball League results for Tuesday, July 1

6:00 F (M-E) Muskie’s/Kick-n-Chicken held on for a one run win against Tavern on the Lock, 8-7.  The teams combined for fourteen runs within the first three and a half innings with a seven all tie before a run by Muskie’s/Kick-n-Chicken in the bottom of the fifth proved to be the game winner.  Bill Riggio smacked three singles, scored once and delivered three RBIs for Muskie’s/Kick-n-Chicken, Kenny King singled three times and scored twice while Jim Higgins singled twice, scored twice and knocked in a run.  Steve Crandall stroked three singles, scored twice and drove in a run for Tavern on the Lock, Greg Krieger singled twice, scored once and knocked in two RBIs as Harry Meeker singled twice and scored twice.

7:00 F (M-E) Muskie’s Brothers caged RFH’s Farm Team, 13-6.  RFH’s Farm Team held the opposition to two runs in the first three innings before Muskie’s Brothers tallied eleven runs over the next three innings.  Matt Farfaglia doubled, singled twice, scored three runs and knocked in a run for Muskie’s Brothers, Doug Farfaglia singled three times, scored once and delivered three RBIs as Tom Corsoniti singled three times, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.  Bill Ingersoll tripled twice, scored twice and knocked home three runs for RFH’s Farm Team while Dave Runeare, Daryl Brown and Johnny Miller each stroked two hits and scored once.

6:00 D (M-E) RFH’s Blues Boys tuned up on Caster Well Drilling, 12-7.  Caster Well Drilling held the lead until RFH’s Blues Boys rallied for seven runs in the third.  John Newman slugged a two-run home run, a RBI triple and scored twice for RFH’s Blues Boys, Matt Naioti doubled in three runs and scored while Chad Merritt reached base three times, scored once and knocked in a run.  Luke Caster stroked three singles, scored twice and drove home a run for Caster Well Drilling, Lewis Caster singled three times and scored two runs as Ken Mayne lined a RBI double and a RBI single.

7:00 D (M-F) Riverside Inn –Haney Enterprises edged Flemming & Lobevero Insurance, 5-4.  Flemming & Lobevero Insurance took a three-run lead in the top of the fourth (4-1) until Riverside Inn-Haney Enterprises tallied four runs in the bottom of the inning while the defense stopped another run from scoring.  Rick Spuhler reached base once, scored once and got three runs home for Riverside Inn-Haney Enterprises, Dave Holden singled twice and knocked in a pair of RBIs as Dave Garrett and Denny Colocino each smacked two hits and scored once.  Chris Kelsey belted a inside-the-park home run, singled and walked for Flemming & Lobevero Insurance, Josh Lamie singled three times and drove in a run while Jay Kelsey got two runs home.

8:00 D (M-F) Lakeview Lanes bowled past Consumer Credit Counseling of CNY/Abbott Enterprises, 12-9.  Consumer Credit Counseling of CNY/Abbott Enterprises scored six runs in the first inning with Lakeview Lanes taking the lead in the fourth before scoring the final four runs to put the game away in the sixth.  Jeff Grower reached base three times, scored once and amassed three RBIs for Lakeview Lanes, Eric Carlson reached base twice, scored twice and drove in three runs as John McGuire tripled home two runs, singled in a run and scored once.  Tim Woods belted a three-run inside-the-park home run, a double, walked twice and scored twice for Consumer Credit Counseling of CNY/Abbott Enterprises, Shane Bristol doubled, singled, scored once and drove in two runs as Charles Vickery singled three times and scored twice.

9:00 D (M-F) Polish Home stranded Bellinger Auto, 11-1.  Polish Home scored six times in the first two innings while holding Bellinger Auto to a solo home run.  Derek Lyons smacked a inside-the-park home run, doubled, singled, scored three times and drove in two runs for Polish Home, Joe White and CJ Smith each belted two hits (White—inside-the-park HR, singled; Smith—double, single), scored twice and knocked in two runs as Jon Shepard singled three times, scored once and drove in a run.  Greg Distin blasted a home run for Bellinger Auto as Geo Bateman, Greg Hartranft and Jared Bellinger each swatted two hits.
