City of Fulton Softball League results for Tuesday, June 17, 2008

6:00 F (M-E) RFH’s Blues Boys brushed past Muskie’s/Kick-n-Chicken, 11-10. RFH’s Blues Boys scored eight runs within the first two innings but needed to hold off Muskie’s Kick-n-Chicken’s five-run rally in the final two innings to preserve the win. Jimmy Files stroked three singles, scored twice and drove in two runs for RFH’s Blues Boys, Chad Merritt tripled, singled twice, scored twice and knocked in a run as Charlie Metott belted a inside-the-park grand slam. Tim Kirwan doubled, singled three times, scored four runs and delivered a RBI for Muskie’s Kick-n-Chicken, Howard Johnson tripled home two runs, doubled in two RBIs and scored twice while John Urban Jr. tripled, singled, scored once and drove in two runs.

7:00 F (M-E) RFH’s Farm Team planted a 13-8 victory on Caster’s Well Drilling. A one-run lead for Caster’s Well Drilling was short-lived as RFH’s Farm Team responded with a ten-run rally. Bruce Ingersol sped around the bases for two inside-the-park home runs, a double, scored three times and drove in three RBIs for RFH’s Farm Team, Dave Grover doubled, singled twice, scored once and knocked in two runs as Billy Ingersol scored following a RBI double and singled twice. Jamie Potonick doubled, singled, scored twice and drove in two runs for Caster Well Drilling, Luke Caster singled twice, walked, scored once and knocked in a run as Darrin Caster doubled, walked, scored once and delivered a RBI.

6:00 D (M-E) Tavern on the Lock nipped Muskie’s Brothers, 4-3 in nine innings. Muskie’s Brothers scored three times in the first inning before being shut out the rest of the game as Tavern on the Lock tied the game in the seventh and scored the game winner in the top of the ninth. Tim Southworth singled three times, scored once and drove in the game winner for Tavern on the Lock, Gregg Kreager rapped three singles, scored the tying run and knocked in a run as Anthony Richmond lined two hits to deliver two RBIs. Darrell Baker singled twice, walked, scored once and drove in a run for Muskie’s Brothers, Matt Farfaglia reached base three times and scored once while Doug Farfaglia singled home two runs.

7:00 D (M-F) Riverside Inn/Haney Enterprises halted Bellinger Auto’s winning streak, 7-5. Riverside Inn/Haney Enterprises scored all seven runs by the end of the fourth innings and relied on defense to preserve the lead. Tim Carroll smacked three hits and scored once for Riverside Inn/Haney Enterprises, Mike Warren singled, scored a run and drove in two runs as Dave Holden singled twice to knock in a run. Greg Distin belted a two-run home run, a triple, walked twice and scored twice for Bellinger’s Auto, Geo Bateman singled twice, scored once and drove in two RBIs as Greg Hartranft reached base three times and drove in a run.

8:00 D (M-F) Lakeview Lanes stunned Flemming & Lobevero Insurance, 7-6. Lakeview Lanes broke into the win column with a four-run rally in the fourth and a run in the sixth while stopping Flemming & Lobevero Insurance in the bottom of the seventh. Josh Archibeque doubled, singled, scored twice and drove in a run for Lakeview Lanes, Billy Patchen doubled, singled, scored once and sacrificed a run home while Casey Spencer doubled twice, scored once and knocked in a run. Dan Murray rapped a pair of RBI singles for Flemming & Lobevero Insurance, Dean Flemming singled twice, scored once and drove in a run as Mitch Tombs doubled, walked twice, scored a run and delivered two RBIs.

9:00 D (M-F) Consumer Credit Counseling of CNY/Abbott Enterprise surprised Polish Home, 24-15. Seven runs in the second gave Consumer Credit Counseling of CNY/Abbott Enterprise the lead while seven more runs in the fifth increased the lead after Polish Home had cut the lead to two. Nate Sweet crushed two home runs, a double, two singles, scored four times and amassed four RBIs for Consumer Credit Counseling of CNY/Abbott Enterprise, Ed Wood lined four singles, scored four runs and drove home a run as Rob Reynolds reached base four times, scored twice and delivered three RBIs. Bo Bonnie ripped a pair of RBI doubles, a two-run single and scored twice for Polish Home, Doug Stevens tripled, singled twice, scored twice and drove in three runs as Anthony Demperio doubled twice, scored twice and knocked in three RBIs.
