City of Fulton Softball results for Friday, July 18

6:00 F (M-C) Orangemen ran away with a 16-4 victory over McLane’s.  Orangemen scored five runs in the first two innings while McLane’s tallied three times in the next two innings to get close before Orangemen rallied for five runs in the fifth and six more in the sixth to gain the win.  Chuck Tyrell tripled, singled three times, scored three runs and drove in a run for Orangemen, Matt Emmons reached base three times, scored twice and knocked in four RBIs as Jeremy Walker lined a two-run inside-the-park home run and scored following a double.  Greg Francisco banged out three hits and scored once for McLane’s, Ken Majchazak reached base twice, scored once and delivered a RBI while Joe Griffin knocked in a pair of runs.

7:00 F (M-B) Save-A-Lot held off We Care Organics for a 8-7 win.  Save-A-Lot scored all eight runs in the first four innings while We Care Organics tallied five runs within the first two innings, added two in the fifth before being shut down with two scoring opportunities to fall a run short.  Nick Duskee reached base three times, scored twice and drove in a run for Save-A-Lot, Dave Wallace crushed a solo home run and singled while Dan Myers reached base three times, scored once and knocked in a run.  Mat Bort slugged a solo home run, two singles, and sacrificed a run home for We Care Organics, Brian Calkins lined a RBI double, singled twice and scored once as Kip Keysor reached base three times, scored twice and drove in a RBI.

6:00 D (M-C) Cooper’s/Muskie’s walked away from McLane’s II, 13-5.  Cooper’s/Muskie’s scored two runs in the bottom of the first with McLane’s II taking the lead with three in the top of the second.  A pair of runs in the bottom of the second allowed Cooper’s/Muskie’s to retake the lead with a run in the third increasing the cushion.  Two runs in the fourth by McLane’s II knotted the game once more before a eight-run rally in the fifth gave Cooper’s/Muskie’s the win.  Earnie Morrison doubled, singled twice, scored twice and knocked home two RBIs for Cooper’s/Muskie’s, Carl Morrison smacked a three-run double, singled and scored twice as Mike Morrison doubled twice, singled, scored twice and delivered a RBI.  Don Muckey stroked four hits, scored twice and drove in a pair of RBIs for McLane’s II, Tom Arnold singled twice and scored twice while Rick Hofmann and Trevor Ashcraft each singled twice and drove in a run.

7:00 D (M-I) Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s stopped Barely Legal Accessories, 15-5.  After scoring three runs in the first inning, Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s erupted for seven runs in the second and added four runs in the fourth before Barely Legal Accessories got on the board with three runs in the bottom of the fourth.  Craig Wacker lined a home run, a double, two singles, scored four times and amassed five RBIs for Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s, Adam Berry smacked a pair of doubles, scored once and delivered six RBIs as Corey Sullivan swatted three singles, scored three runs and drove in a run.  Jon Croad singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run for Barely Legal Accessories, Ryan Ahart doubled a run home, singled and sacrificed a run home while Hubba Taylor reached base twice and scored twice.

8:00 D (M-B) CP Drywall scored twice in the seventh to get past Fran’s Riverfront, 6-5.  CP Drywall tallied three runs in the first after Fran’s Riverfront scored twice in the top of the inning.  Two runs in the second gave Fran’s Riverfront the lead with a run in the fifth padding the lead before CP Drywall cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the fifth before winning the game in the seventh.  Curt Fitzpatrick tripled, singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run for CP Drywall, Derek Tombs singled twice, walked twice and scored in a run for CP Drywall, Derek Tombs singled twice, walked twice and scored once while Craig Fitzpatrick reached base three times, scored once and knocked in a run.  Joel Vescio tripled, doubled, singled, scored twice and drove in a run for Fran’s Riverfront, Mike Ditton singled twice and knocked home a RBI as Jason Trude socked a two-run triple.

9:00D (M-I) Issue’s rallied past A&M Softball, 13-7.  A&M Softball built a four-run lead against undefeated Issue’s before a seven-run rally turned the game around, mainly due to multiple diving and great running catches by left-fielder Josh Koegel.  Josh Koegel belted a triple, double, two singles, scored once and drove in three RBIs for Issue’s, Adam Schremph stroked three hits, scored three times and knocked in two runs as Jeremy Morrell tripled, singled, scored twice and delivered a RBI.  Wayne Weibel reached base four times, scored twice and drove in a run for A&M Softball, Bill Orr stroked three singles and scored twice while Don Moody belted a two-run double, a single, walked and sacrificed a run home.
