City of Fulton Softball Results for Thursday, July 10

6:00 F (M-D) Pittsburgh Paints/Purcell’s Paints supplied Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators with a 12-0 score.  Pittsburgh Paints/Purcell’s Paints recorded the shut-out victory but may have lost Mike Maliszewski for the season when he apparently suffered a broken leg sliding into second base, being taken from the field by ambulance.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery Mike!  Joe Kulle singled twice, circled the bases on a multitude of errors, scored three runs and got three runs home for Pittsburgh Paints/Purcell’s Paints, Josh LeVea belted a inside-the-park grand slam and walked while Devin LeClair socked a two-run inside-the-park home run, a double and scored twice.  Pete Galletta doubled and singled for Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators while Carl Clothier, John Williams and Joe Williams each singled.

7:00 F (M-D) Gorman’s topped Lehigh Cement, 13-4.  Lehigh Cement scored the game’s first run in the second inning and scored once again in the fourth before Gorman’s began to get hot, scoring thirteen runs in the final three innings.  Unfortunately, Lehigh Cement also lost a player to injury when Mike Canales got whacked in the face by a batted ball in right field.  He left the field under his own power with a bloody nose, but was taken to the hospital.  Good luck Mike, and hopefully we’ll see you fully recovered next week.  Shawn Perry lined two triples, a single, scored twice and drove in a run for Gorman’s, Aaron Knapp clubbed a three-run inside-the-park home run and singled as Dave Viscome and Mark Potter each singled twice, scored twice and drove home a run.  Tony Hildreth rocketed two triples, singled, scored once and knocked in a run for Lehigh Cement, Sean Canales smacked a inside-the-park home run and scored following a base hit while Dave Wheeler tripled twice and drove in a RBI.

6:00 D (W-D) Lakeview Lanes & Us needed three runs in the bottom of the seventh to get past 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poorman’s 5-4.  4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poorman’s scored three runs within the first two innings with Lakeview Lanes & Us scoring twice in the fourth.  A run in the sixth gave 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poorman’s a two-run advantage before Lakeview Lanes & Us rallied in the seventh.  Alicia Dorn socked a home run, scored twice and drove in two runs for Lakeview Lanes & Us, Jessica Humphrey singled home two runs (including the game winner) while Amanda Stevens and Tasha Sullivan each stroked two hits and scored once.  Roberta Weldin reached base in all four at bats and drove in a run for 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poorman’s, Krista LoCastro singled, walked, scored twice and knocked in a run as Lori Maher reached base twice, scored once and got a run home.

7:00 D (W-D) A&M Softball sheared Shepard Enterprise, 13-9.  A&M Softball tallied four runs in the first while Shepard Enterprises responded with three runs in the second before A&M Softball added three runs in the fourth as each team added six runs in the seventh.  Dayna Davis reached base in all four at bats, scored once and delivered two RBI for A&M Softball, Kary Calabro tripled home three runs, walked, scored once and amassed four RBIs as Danica Malone singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run.  Jess Shepard doubled twice, singled twice, scored once and drove home two RBIs for Shepard Enterprise, Jen Middleton belted a three-run home run while Chrissy Baker and Jen McCord each stroked three hits and scored once.

8:00 D (M-D) McDonald’s feasted on R-BAR, 24-7.  McDonald’s rallied for eight runs in the first inning with R-BAR responding for five runs before McDonald’s scored the next sixteen runs (including an eight-run fourth).  Sean Bracy started the game with a solo home run, added two triples, scored three times and amassed four RBIs for McDonald’s, Nick D’Imperio drilled a two-run home run, three singles, scored three runs and knocked in three RBIs as Will Foley doubled twice, singled, walked, scored twice and delivered four RBIs.  Travis Humphrey tripled, doubled a run home, singled and scored twice for R-BAR, Doug Miller lined a pair of RBI singles and scored twice as Chad Humphrey doubled, singled and scored twice.

9:00 D (M-D) AIDS Community Resources busted down Butler Fence, 15-4.  AIDS Community Resources scored five runs within the first four innings, tallied five more in the fifth and gained five more runs in the final two innings while holding Butler Fence to a run in the first and three in the fifth.  Shayne Bogardus clobbered a home run, a triple, two doubles, scored four runs and delivered four RBIs for AIDS Community Resources, Mike Gugula reached base in all four at bats, scored twice and drove in a run while Mike Kitts socked a three-run home run.  Toby McCleery tripled, scored once and drove in three runs for Butler Fence, Bryan Elsworth tripled, singled, walked and scored twice as Jim Rogers singled twice.
