City of Fulton Softball results for Wednesday, July 23

6:00 F (W-B) B&T Sport Shop/Menter Ambulance took a win over Wildwood Construction.

7:00 F (W-B) Longley Dodge/Travis Floral needed a run in the seventh to top Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, 6-5.  Jackson Hewitt Tax Service held a three-run lead after three innings when Longley Dodge/Travis Floral rallied for a one-run lead in the fourth as a run in the sixth by Jackson Hewitt Tax Service knotted the score.  In the seventh, Longley Dodge/Travis Floral got a run home before thwarting Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.  Jesse Mills singled twice, walked, scored the game winner and drove in a run for Longley Dodge/Travis Floral, Chrissy Kempston singled twice, scored once and knocked in a run as Jill Hughes singled twice, walked and scored once.  Lisa Burdick tripled, singled and drove in two RBIs for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Barbette Hobart lined a RBI single and scored twice while Melissa Townsend singled twice, walked twice and scored once.

6:00 D (W-B) Century 21 Leah’s Signature/Chubby’s topped Red Baron, 7-3.  Red Baron knotted the game at one in the third inning before Century 21 Leah’s Signature/Chubby’s tallied three runs in each of the next two innings.  Molly Baker slugged a triple, a RBI double, a RBI single and scored twice for Century 21 Leah’s Signature/Chubby’s, Melissa Himes stroked three singles, scored once and drove in two runs as Mary Ann Panizino singled three times and scored once.  Liz Grove singled twice and drove in a run for Red Baron while Liz Mooney, Janine Janaro and Keara Perry each singled once and scored once.

7:00 D (W-C) Northern Girls edged Canalview Travel/Shuba 2 Construction/Tri-County Heating, 9-8.  Northern Girls took the lead in the first inning until four runs in the top of the third gave Canalview Travel/Shuba 2 Construction/Tri-County Heating the lead.  Northern Girls immediately responded with three runs to recapture the lead with Canalview Travel/Shuba 2 Construction/Tri-County Heating scoring three times in their next at bat for the lead once more.  Northern Girls knotted the game in the fifth before scoring the game winner in the sixth.  Shelly Crofoot doubled, singled, walked, scored twice and drove in two RBIs for Northern Girls, Sandy Boettcher reached base three times, scored three runs and delivered a RBI as Steph Wilson singled twice, scored once and knocked in two runs.  Ashlee Distin smacked a two-run triple, a RBI single, a base hit and scored twice for Canalview Travel/Shuba 2 Construction/Tri-County Heating, Danielle Mahoney doubled, singled twice , walked, scored twice and drove in a run while Shelly Cordone reached base three times and scored twice.

8:00 D (W-C) Lakeview Lanes struck down Chase Enterprises/Heath Paving, 6-3.  A run in the first provided Chase Enterprises/Heath Paving with the lead until three runs in the third and one in the fourth gave Lakeview Lanes the advantage.  Two runs in the fourth pulled Chase Enterprises/Heath Paving to one before Lakeview Lanes added a run in the sixth and another in the seventh to secure the victory.  Sandy Coant lined a RBI double, singled and scored once for Lakeview Lanes, Lisa Reed singled twice and scored once as Brianna Paice reached base three times, scored once and knocked in a run.  Linda Holmes slugged four singles for Chase Enterprises/Heath Paving, Josie Merritt singled twice and drove in a RBI while Mo Naioti reached base twice and knocked in a run.

9:00 D (W-C) Wally’s Towing hauled away Brett’s Auto/Tailgaters, 24-5.  Brett’s Auto/Tailgaters matched the four runs scored in the first inning by Wally’s Towing before being outscored 20-1 the rest of the game.  Angie Vickery belted a home run, a double, three singles, scored five runs and delivered five RBIs for Wally’s Towing, Cindy Ferris lined five singles, scored twice and drove in four runs as Christine Couse rapped three singles, scored twice and knocked in five runs.  Carrie Kinney and Vanda Allen each slugged two hits and scored a run and drove in a run for Brett’s Auto/Tailgaters while Gloryanne Wixon stroked a pair of RBI singles.
