OSWEGO – Compass Federal Credit Union is pleased to once again offer support in 2026 to Oswego Speedway Supermodified competitors Nick Snyder and Camden Proud.
Being a unique form of motorsport, Supermodified racing’s weekly home since 1962 has been Oswego Speedway, making it a community tradition in the Oswego area. Many racers, team owners, crew members and fans alike have called on Compass Federal Credit Union through the years to be one of their financial institutions, including the Snyder and Proud families.
In fact, the Snyder’s are a legacy member of the credit union, dating all the way back to 1966 with original Snyder Racing team owner, Denny Snyder. For years now Compass Federal Credit Union has been part of the Snyder Racing effort, first with driver Tim Snyder and now with second generation driver, Nick.
In just his third season of Supermodified racing at Oswego, Nick has come into his own behind the wheel of the Compass FCU, No. 0. While the results this season may not show their success, the team has had tremendous speed, while picking up one qualifying event win on the year.
In time, Snyder will make his mark at the front of the field.
“Since 1966, Compass Federal Credit Union has been our family’s chosen financial institution,” said Snyder. “We are proud to represent the credit union in the best way possible, both on and off the race track.”
After partnering with the Snyder Racing crew several years ago, the credit union also began support of Proud Motorsports and driver, Camden Proud. First in the speedway’s Small Block Super division, the Proud’s are now a weekly threat in the featured Supermodified class.
A former Supermodified feature winner at Oswego, Proud has one qualifying event win in 2026 with two top ten’s and one top five finish, to currently sit 8th in the track’s championship standings.
Members of the credit union for more than 40 years, the Proud’s join the Snyder’s as true representatives of Compass.
“The Proud family has been loyal members of Compass Federal Credit Union for many years and we are proud to represent the credit union both on and off the race track,” said Proud. “Compass has been pointing the way for me at Oswego Speedway since my rookie Small Block Super season in 2014 and has remained a loyal sponsor throughout my racing career, including the last several seasons in the Novelis Supermodified division. That kind of long-term commitment means a lot in this sport, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything Compass has done for our family and our race team over the years.”
Compass Federal Credit Union wishes both Nick and Camden continued success as the Oswego Speedway season reaches its second half. Each driver will be in action this Saturday at Oswego Speedway for Twin 40 Supermodified features, as teams begin to also prepare for the season ending International Classic 200 on Labor Day Weekend.
“The foundation of credit union’s nationwide is to build long-term successful relationships with our local community members,” said Compass Federal Credit Union Marketing Administrator and former Oswego Speedway racer, Dan Kapuscinski. “Being partners with the Snyder’s and the Proud’s, at a community staple such as Oswego Speedway, is a prime example of that. We cannot thank both enough for being fantastic representatives of the credit union and loyal members for so many decades.”
