The Fulton Senior All-Stars baseball squad celebrated a terrific season with a visit to the Fulton Common Council Tuesday night, where they were honored with a resolution marking their efforts.
The team went 22-4 before falling in two games at the state championships.
Fulton Little League President John Florek noted that the team overcame injuries and the loss of some key players from the previous year’s team to turn in an excellent season.
“Every single, solitary player contributed,” he said.
Coach Chuck House said the team began with just 15 players and was down to 13 by the state tournament. Some players, such as captain Max Fobes, were playing with injuries and the pitching staff was shot from the effort to win playoff games.
“I’ll take that record with any team,” House said.
