Erik Cole Dream Big Youth Hockey Tourney Set for SUNY Oswego Campus Center Ice Arena

Oswego, NY – The Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation 3-on-3 Youth Hockey Classic will take to the ice July 22-24th at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center Ice Arena, according to Tim Graber, Dream Big Youth Hockey Tournament Coordinator.

The youth hockey event will welcome athletes from throughout Central New York and will officially kick off the Dream Big Weekend. The USA Hockey sanctioned tournament will include Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Sledge/Sled divisions. Each team will play four games over the course of the weekend.
According to Graber, the tournament and teams are filled.

“We’re very excited about the tournament again this year,” said Graber. “It’s great to see the level of hockey talent we have throughout this region and we look forward to some great action.”

The Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation was established in 2007 by Oswego-native, NHL hockey player, Stanley Cup Champion, and U.S. Olympian Erik Cole. The non-profit organization was created to support youth hockey programs, as well as children who are suffering from cancer and other diseases.

In addition to the youth hockey classic and golf tournament, this year’s weekend activities will also include the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit from Toronto on July 23rd from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Campus Center, as well as an NHL Player Exhibition at 7 p.m. that day, as Cole and many of his NHL friends and teammates take the ice to show off their unique talents. The popular hockey-themed musical group The Zambonis will also perform at the Campus Center during the NHL Player Exhibition.

Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation merchandise will also be available for purchase, and concessions stands will be open on Saturday and Sunday at the Campus Center Ice Rink.

The Erik Cole Dream Big Golf and Hockey Classic is being presented by Pathfinder Bank and Bauer.
