FREDONIA, N.Y. – Oswego State freshman outfielder John Rauseo (Mattituck, N.Y.) has been selected as the SUNYAC Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending April 1.

Rauseo had a big week at the plate for the Lakers posting a .667 batting average and a 1.000 slugging percentage. In an 11-3 win over Utica, Rauseo went 3-for-3, driving in six runs and scoring three.
In Saturday’s game one win against Oneonta, Rauseo had a hand in four of Oswego State’s six runs with two runs scored and two RBI, including the eventual game-winning RBI in the top of the seventh. In game two, he went 4-for-5 to finish the day 7-for-8 in the doubleheader.
Rauseo gave the Lakers a chance in the top of the ninth to tie the game when he led off the inning with a single.
On the season, he is now batting .472 with a .667 slugging percentage.
