The Fulton Youth Hockey League’s Bantam team won both the Snowbelt Hockey League John Abbott Memorial (JAM) Tournament, March 4-6 in Lysander and the Don Vetter Memorial Tournament in Canandaigua, March 18-20, said Head Coach R.J. DeLisle.
The Bantams won every game they played during the 3-day run of the JAM Tournament. Members of the team include: Bryce Knight, Matt Billion, Austin Beckwith, Jimmy Martin, Co-Captain Seth DeLisle, Sean Lange, Kadin Hotchkiss, Greg Blasczienski, Caleb Zehr, Co-Captain Trae Sheldon, Corey Cardinali, Brandon Ladd, goalie, and Nate Loveland.
The team’s first JAM game was a win over Elmira, 6-5. Their second game was a 3-2 win over Binghamton with a 0-0 decision over Camillus Team 1 in the third game. They won their fourth game and went on to win the championship 5-3 over Elmira after defeating Camillus Team 2, 6-3.
In the Vetter tournament, the Bantams won their first game 3-1 over Cheektowaga Team 2 and won their second game 5-2 over Canandaigua. Although they lost to Cheektowaga Team 1 in their third game 3-2, they went on to play them and win the championship game, 5-1.
