Girls’ Lacrosse Come Up Short Twice

We had two games this week.

Central Square

We had a great second half against visiting Central Square.

Defensively we stepped up big in the second half and had better possession ball to close out the game.

Our efforts may have fallen short today but we had several good plays at both ends of the field tonight.
Ground balls were hard for both teams in the rain tonight.

The second half was good lacrosse as it was a back and forth game.

Cortland

McKinley thompson led the charge for us tonight as she put 5 in the back of the net to lead us up against a tough Cortland team.

Cortland’s draw control put us on our heels the whole 50 minutes of the game.

We had some great offensive looks tonight and I was really happy with how well we were moving on the offensive end.

There was a good 20 minute stretch of the game where it was back and forth lacrosse where they would score then we would and back and forth for a bit.

In the end Cortland’s ability to control the draws was a big difference maker.

Something we continue to work on – we have 5 games left as we head to Auburn on Tuesday and host rival Fulton on Thursday.
