On April 11, in Penn Yan, two girls volleyball teams, the Port City Royals and Emmanuel Baptist Academy, competed against each other.

These teams are part of the ESCAL League composed of private and homeschool students.
When the game started at 4:30, Penn Yan began with the serve, but the Royals quickly took possession of it. The first set was quick, few volleys occurred.
Royals won 25-17.
In the second set, Royals started with the serve. This set was also short, involved few volleys, and ended with the score 25-14.
By the third set, the Royals were relatively confident of a win, but EBA surprised them by scoring several points before the Royals managed to return it.
This set was much closer and more intense at first, but the Royals came out with the lead and won it 25-20.
