BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. – The Oswego State men’s golf team climbed two spots in the team standings after firing a round of 331 for a two-day score of 663 at the Mike Bello Invitational to finish 13th out of 17 teams on Monday.
The invitational was hosted by Le Moyne College at the par-72 Timber Banks Golf Course.
Dustin Farley (Jr., Utica, N.Y.) shot a second-round score of 76 to finish in a five-way tie for 18th with a total score of 152 to lead the Lakers. Sylvain Debiais of UMass-Lowell earned medalist honors with a two-day score of 70-69–139, while Bentley claimed the team tropy with a team score of 287-299–586.
John Mackie (Jr., Bellport, N.Y.) fired a score of 85 on Monday for a two-day total of 167, while Nick Sterling (Sr., Gouverneur, N.Y.) carded a round of 83 to finish at 168. Tyler Wurzer (Fr., Huntington Station, N.Y.) posted a second-day score of 87 for a two-round total of 176 followed by Dan North’s (Fr., Ilion, N.Y.) round of 95 for a two-day score of 184.
Oswego State will compete at the Keuka Spring Invitational on Thursday at the Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan.
