Laker Women’s Hoops Drops Second Game

Oswego, N.Y. – The Oswego State women’s basketball team (3-2) suffered its second loss of the season on Friday, falling to SUNY Plattsburgh 83-61.

The Cardinals jumped out to the lead early, but the Lakers fought hard and kept the game close.

Plattsburgh extended their lead to 12, making the score 45-33 heading into the half.

Plattsburgh continued pushing their lead in the second, with their greatest lead of 24 points coming with 2:12 left in the game.

Emily Burchill scored with: 53 left, leading to the final score of 83-61.

Oswego made 43 rebounds in the game. The team had a 63% free throw percentage in the game.

Jenn Robbins led the team with 17 points.

Heather Hebert had a team-high 15 rebounds.

The Lakers will return to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday to take on SUNY Potsdam at home to round out their Whiteout Weekend action.
