Varsity Baseball: F-M 11, Oswego 6

Andrew Lazzaro and Cody Brett doubled for the Bucs, now 7-7. The Hornets scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning and 5 more in the 4th off starter Gary Carpentier and reliever Brett.

Varsity Baseball: Fulton 5, ES-M 4, 9 innings

ES-M scored three times in the top of the seventh to take its first lead, but the Raiders added a run in the bottom half to send it to extra innings. Gary Kemp came on in the 7th and got the win for Fulton, now 3-12. John Rizzo, Drew Florek and Justin Egan tallied RBIs. The two teams combined for 9 errors.

Varsity Softball: Fulton 2, ES-M 0

Jessica Palmitesso held the Spartans to 3 hits and her defense committed just one error to preserve the shutout. Jackie Locastro drove in a run for the Raiders (9-6).

Varsity Softball: Hannibal 12, Bishop Ludden 1

Marlena Shortslef threw a two-hitter to get the win. She also drove in three runs. Hannibal improves to 9-5.

Varsity Girls Lacrosse: Cortland 18, Fulton 5

The Purple Tigers came into the game unbeaten in the league and went home that way. Becca Harrington scored 3 times for 8-5 Fulton. Brittany McCann stopped 8 shots.

Varsity Boys Tennis: C-NS 5, Oswego 2

From the Oswego City School District: “Singles competitors Oliver Loy and Matt Randell gained victories in the latest Oswego High School tennis match. Oswego lost to Cicero-North Syracuse 5-2 as the squad saw the season record even up at 5-5. Loy won 6-1, 6-2 and Randell earned a 6-4, 6-1 win.”

Varsity Boys Tennis: Fulton 6, Mexico 1

Fulton took three of four singles matches and all three doubles matches from the Tigers. Only one match was close — the fourth singles contest between Mexico’s Chris Hughes and Fulton’s Tony DeGelorm. DeGelorm won the first set 6-2 but lost 1-6, 3-6 after that. Fulton improves to 6-5.

Varsity Boys Tennis: Hannibal 5, Jordan-Elbridge 0

Hannibal’s boys won four matched by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores and took the fifth contest by forfeit, capturing a rare complete shutout. The Warriors improved to 4-6. J-E, not surprisingly, is 0-9.

Varsity Boys Track: ES-M, Fulton, Phoenix

The Raiders lost to ES-M 94-47 and beat Phoenix 76-65 in this three-way meet. The Fulton 1600 meter relay team of Kyle Brayton, Jason Plato, Sam Stevens and Zach Froio won, as did D.J. Ingham in the discus.
