OSWEGO, NY – With Oswego Speedway’s 2017 season schedule moving into its final stages of completion, commitment program renewals for the Novelis Supermodified and Pathfinder Bank SBS divisions have been sent to teams as the Speedway continues to move full speed ahead towards the 67th consecutive season of racing at the famed ‘Steel Palace.’
Team owners finishing in the top 24 positions in the final owner point standings from 2016 have the first opportunity to fill the commitment positions in each division, before the remaining positions open to all teams on January 24.
By signing on as a commitment program member for the Novelis Supermodified or Pathfinder Bank SBS divisions at Oswego Speedway, the car owner agrees to participate in all point races scheduled at the Speedway with one miss permitted.
Novelis Supermodified teams that fulfill the commitment program are guaranteed a minimum of $500 start money per point event in the 2017 season. Pathfinder Bank SBS car owners are guaranteed a minimum of $135 start money per point event.
Driver registration forms have also been sent to teams and as they return Oswego Speedway will post registrants at www.oswegospeedway.com as well as on all of the Speedway’s social media applications.
Oswego Speedway’s full 2017 racing schedule will be released in the coming days, with the Speedway’s 67th opening night tentatively scheduled for May 13.
