The Oswego Boys Golf Team was defeated by Fayettville-Manlius on Wednesday by a score of 199-218 at Woodcrest Golf Club near Chittenango. The loss dropped the team’s record to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in league play.
Corey Schuffenecker and Matt Lloyd shared team medalist honors for Oswego, carding very respectable rounds of 40 on the back nine at Woodcrest. After a slow start this season, Matt Lloyd has become a consistent scorer for Oswego-a more dependable putter may be the key to Matt’s success. With five difficult matches remaining in the 2008 season, the Bucs will be looking for more players to step up their games.
The boys are at it again on Thursday when they battle C-NS at Northern Pines.
