Oswego Firefighters’ Golf Tourney Benefits MDA

The Oswego Firefighters Association is holding a golf tournament to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  The Captain and Crew tournament will take place on Sunday, September 28 at the Tamarack Golf Course on County Route 1 in Scriba.  There will be shotgun start at 10:00 AM.

The cost is $240 per four-person  team.  The price includes 18 holes of golf, cart, barbecued chicken dinner, and prizes.  There will also be a $10,000 Hole In One contest, sponsored by Canale Insurance Agency of Oswego, as well as skins, longest drive and closest to the pin contests.

Companies or individuals wishing to sponsor a tee or green may do so for $50.  All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association to help in the fight against neuromuscular disease.  The Oswego Firefighters Association joins with professional firefighters all across the United States in battling this disease that affects more than a million Americans of all ages.

The deadline for tournament entries is Monday, September 22.  Those interested in registering to play or sponsor a hole may contact co-chairmen Brooks Hourigan at 529-2524 or Buddy Wilson at 529-4529.  Join the Oswego Firefighters for a day of fun and sportmanship to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
