The Oswego Lady Bucs Volleyball team defeated the Auburn Lady Maroons in a non-league, three set match 25-10, 25-20, and 25-20. The Lady Bucs are now 2-0 on the young season.
In set one Oswego rolled to a 25-10 win. Oswego was led by Vanessa Sheffield ( 5 kills), Morgan Lavner (2 kills, 5 aces), Jasmine Davis (3 aces), and Krisi Stemple (8 assists).
In set two, Oswego won 25-20. The Bucs were led by Sheffield (5 kills), Kelsey Ross (4 aces), Laura Naron (3 aces), Cydney Ward (3 kills) and Stemple (9 assists).
In set three , Oswego closed out the win 25-20. Again Sheffield (5 kills), Naron (2 aces), and Maggie Mooney (7 assists) led the Bucs to victory.
“It was another important non-league win with all of the team contributing.â€Â
Oswego plays at the Union-Endicott tournament this week-end and travels to Liverpool next Tuesday.
Also in volleyball action this past week-end Oswego lost in the Bronze medal bracket finals to Gowanda 25-22.
Oswego went 2-5 in this tough tournament with many state ranked teams in the tournament. Oswego was led by Vanessa Sheffield (32 kills, 2 aces, 7 pt. blks.), Morgan Lavner (7 kills, 6 aces), and Krisi Stemple (36 assists).
