Oswego High Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Set Dec. 29

OSWEGO, NY – The newest members of the Oswego High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducted on Dec. 29.

This will be the third “class” to be inducted into the sports hall and though small in number it is high in quality.

The Oswego City School District and the Buccaneer Boosters have announced this year’s inductees.

The 1991 Oswego High School Boys’ Varsity Bowling Team earned the New York State crown as team champions and finished the year with a 31-9 record.

The bowlers become the third team admitted to the Oswego High School Hall of Fame.

Veteran coach, physical education teacher and Oswego City School District Director of Physical Education and Athletics Ted Kerley will join the elite group.

David Maniccia a three letter winner in football, hockey as well as track and field will be inducted for his outstanding career.

Charles Hutcheson will be the fourth inductee. He was the Oswego High School boxing coach from 1935-39 when the team captured not only the Pioneer League in each of the four seasons, but also earned the tournament championship those four consecutive years.

The induction ceremony is scheduled for the American Foundry.

Doors will open with finger food available along with a cash bar at 6:30 p.m. and the ceremony to induct the newest members of the Oswego High School Hall of Fame is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
