MEN’S B-SLOW

SCRIBA TOWN INN 14 CHEAP SEATS 12

Trailing the whole game, Scriba Town Inn fought back scoring 6 runs in the top of the 7th and held off Cheap Seats for a 14 to 12 win.  Cheap Seats had opened the scoring with 6 runs in the first and lead the entire game until they gave up the lead in the seventh.  Their 3 run rally in the seventh came up short.  Picking up three hits each for Scriba Town Inn was John Bugow, Kevin Luhr, Brandon Lagoe and Scott Dubois.  Brian Finch led Cheap Seats with a single, triple and two doubles.  Kevin Slimmer had 3 hits while Bob Barker and Weston Fellows had two hits each.

GARY’S 7 ALLIANCE 6

Alliance looking for their first win of the season saw that effort come up one run short as a two runs 7th completed Gary’s come from behind 7 to 6 win.  After taking the early lead the two teams were tied at 5 after 5 innings.  Alliance scored one in the sixth to take the lead but with two out in the seventh, was unable to stop Gary’s winning rally. Ron Cahill had a triple for Gary’s while Josh Flett had two singles and a triple.  B.J. Mc Anulty had two singles and a double.  Leading Alliance with two hits each were Ken Maynes and Chris Brancato.  Steve Monette was the winning pitcher.

MEN’S C-SLOW

CATHY’S WINGS 7 THIRSTY’S 5

Scoring an insurance run in the seventh, Cathy’s Wings defeated Thirsty’s 7 to 5.  A.J. King had a single and triple for Cathy’s wings, while teammate Ed Kuzowski had three hits.  Shane Murray and Shawn Baldwin added two hits each.  For Cathy’s Wings Mike Rogers had two hits, While both Roger Barnes and Jeremy Torrez each doubled.

CHEAP SEATS 12 CAC PROPERTY MANAGEMENT 3

After breaking a 3 all tie, Cheap Seats blanked CAC Property Management the rest of the way and recorded a 12 to 3 win.  Jim Higgins picked up the win allowing 13 hits.   For Cheap Seats Kurt Pomerenke, Higgins and Mike Mullen all had two singles and a double.  Art Brown had three hits, while Will Dumont added two.  For CAC Property Management Erick Finch and Chris Paone had three hits each, while John Crawford, Justin Buske and Pete Galletta had two hits each.

TUESDAY JULY 8th  2008

MEN’S D-SLOW

LA GRAFF’S PUB 7 FRONT DOOR 2

After Front Door opened the game with a 2 run first, La’ Graff’s Pub shut them down the rest of the way en route to a 7 to 2 win.  In the first Front Door’s Jim Rafte and Mike Mc Carthy opened the game with singles and later scored to take a two run lead, however, La Graff’s answered with three of their own in the first as Joe Karecki, Rich Runner and Mark Sledzonia all scored after reaching base safely.  La’Graffs scored three more in the second and one in the sixth as they evened their season record to 5 wins and 5 losses. Leading Front Door with a singled, double and triple and one RBI was Hank Borick.  Bruce Maynes added two hits.  For La’Graff’s Karecki had three hits, while Harry Darling had two.  Runner was the winning pitcher.

CHEAP SEATS 19 NINE MILE 4

Cheap Seats remained atop the D-slow division with a 19 to 4 win over Nine Mile.  Picking up two single and a double for Cheap Seats was Dan Goodrow and Derek Osmund.  Ryan Delong had a single and two doubles.  For Nine Mile Mike Peuti had two hits, while Antonio Torrence had a single and double.

MEN’S MODIFIED

PAUL’S BIG M 14 SOUTH FORTY 11

A 10 run seventh fell short as South Forty fell to Paul’s Big M 14 to 11.  After Paul’s scored 6 runs in the top of the seventh to take a 13 run lead, South Forty responded with ten of their own before Paul’s could record the final out to end the game.  Leading Paul’s with two doubles was Chris Cahill.  Gary Carpenter and Adam Pitcher each doubled, in support of winning pitcher Josh Flett.  George Young had a double for South 40.

GRACE O’MALLEY’S 13 RVP INTERNATIONAL 3

Jason Bryant’s two run homer run along with Chad Raymond’s solo shot lead Grace O’Malley’s to a 13 to 3 win over RVP International.  Raymond also tripled twice and doubled.  John Crawford had two singles; while winning pitcher Kurt Ferris and team mate Chris Paone each singled and doubled.  For RVP International Pete Orta had a triple, while Shawn Baldwin had a double.
