MEN’S B-FAST

BUDWEISER 6 OSWEGO QUALITY CARPETS 5

Rick Goodman allowed 11 hits striking out 8 and walking only 1 as Budweiser edged Oswego Quality Carpets by a score of 6 to 5.  Jon Simmons paced Budweiser 7 hit attack with a double.  Knocking out extra base hits for Oswego Quality Carpets was Josh Flett with a triple, while Jeremy Cahill and Greg Lavery had a double each.  Lavery also had a double, while Kyle Ahart had two hits.

WHEAT’S EXCAVATION 12 CUTRO’S PROFESSIONAL INSPECTIONS 3

In a game decided by the run rule Wheat’s Excavation defeated Cutro’s Professional Inspections 12 to 3.  Jim Bevacqua who earned the win helped his own cause with a single and double.  Aaron Fritton also had a single and double.  Scott Leonard added a single and home run, while Pete Rossi and Jason Cernaro each doubled.  The only hits allowed by Bevacqua was two singles to Cutro’s Mike Donovan, a single and triple to Joe Salazzo, a single to A.J. Thurlow, and a double by Andy Lazzaro.

PRESS BOX 16 CAM’S 15

In the completion of a game suspended by rain earlier in the season Press Box defeated Cam’s 16 to 15.  Press box took the field in the top of the third leading by 6, and had to hold off the comeback efforts of Cam’s.  Tied at 13 at the end of five, Press Box outscored Cams 3 to 2 in the sixth to earn the win.

LIGHT HOUSE LANES 22 OSWEGO ALLIANCE 14

Light House Lanes scored 11 times in the first and never looked back as they defeated Oswego Alliance by a score of 22 to 14.  Light House Lanes Bill Hibbert hit for the cycle with a single, double, triple and home run.  Jim Haynes had two hits and a triple, while Josh Dunsmore added a single and two triples.  Gathering two hits each for Oswego Alliance was Nick wexler , Paul Oleyourrk, Barney Johnson and Jack Degroff.  Wexlers hits were a double and triple.

THRUSDAY JUNE 26TH,

MEN’S MODIFIED

SOUTH FORTY 8 CAMPUS HEIGHTS 2

Scoring six times in the second inning was all the run support Bill Bosch would need to pitch South 40 over Campus Heights by a score of 8 to 2.  After Campus Heights scored once in the fourth, South 40 added an insurance run in the 6th to secure the win.  Cory Sullivan led South 40 with a triple, while Greg Lavery, Jorge Young and Eric Sherman all doubled.  In picking up the win Bosch allowed only 3 hits.  Josh Flett came on in the seventh to pitch a scoreless inning.

OCA 11 LIGHT HOUSE LANES (SC) 1

John Finch’s grand slam home run was a key hit to keep OCA undefeated as they defeated Light House Lanes (SC) by a score of 11 to 1.  In addition to Finch’s home run winning pitcher Scott Leonard helped his own cause with a single and double.  Jason Cernaro added three hits, while Pete Rossi, Kevin Shortslef and Aaron Fritton had two hits each.  Of the 6 hits allowed by Lenoard, Light House Lane’s (SC) Ed Carney had two of them.

CAM’S 14 LIGHT HOUSE LANES 2

In a game ended by the run rule Cam’s bested Light House Lanes 14 to 2.  Scoring in every inning of the game a four run fifth by Cam’s ended the game.  Fran Secor had a single and triple, while Jason Taylor added a single and double.  Vic Licatese had two singles and a double.  Leading Light House Lanes was Matt Vanburen with two singles and Paul Rheinwald with a triple.

PRESS BOX 15 OSWEGO ALLIANCE 1

In the second E-slow game of the evening ended by the run rule Press Box defeated Oswego Alliance 15 to 1. For Press Box Dan Cunningham had two singles and a triple, while Doug Campbell and John Finch both had a single and triple.  Luis Cruz led Oswego alliance with two hits.
