MEN’S D-SLOW

LA GRAFF’S PUB 15 FRONT DOOR 8

Scoring 12 times over the first two innings, La Graff’s cruised to a 15 to 8 win over Front Door to secure the 2nd spot in the D-slow pitch division.  After Joe Kareck grounded out in the first inning, the next three batters for La Graff’s got aboard and scored on Jerry Blum’s triple.  After Front Door responded with one of their own runs in the bottom of the first, La Graff’s came through with clutch hitting as they added 8 more in the second and never looked back.  For La Graff’s Blum drove in a total of four runs, while John Burns drove in three.  For Front Door Jeff Hoffman had a double and single in three at bats and drove in 3 runs, while Matt Bacon had a double and single and drove in two. Rich Runner was the winning pitcher.

CHEAP SEATS 27 NINE MILE 2

In a game ended by the run rule Cheap Seats captured the D-slow pitch title with a 27 to 2 win over Nine Mile.  Nine Mile got all the offensive production needed as they scored fourteen times in the first inning. For Cheap Seats George Delong and Erick Haines had three hits each, while Ryan Delong had a single double and home run.  Derek Osmund added two doubles while Dan Goodrow had a single and home rune.  For Nine Mile Cliff Wendt singled and doubles while Jon Pryor had two singles.  Dan Alfieri was the winning pitcher.

MEN’S C-FAST

SOUTH FORTY 10 PAUL’S BIG M 7

South 40 in recent C-fast pitch action defeated Pauls Big M by a score of 10 to 7.   Leading South 40 with three hits each were Eric Sherman and Cory Sullivan.  Will Dumont added two hits, while Jim Lagoe, Steve Young and George Young each had one.  For Paul’s Big M, Derrick Harrington, Adams Pitcher and B.J. Mc Anulty had three hits each while Mike Earl and Jeremy Thompson each had two.  Garry Carpenter had one hits, and Andy Fargo tripled.

RVP INTERNATIONAL 7 GRACE O’MALLEY’S 2

Ed Mahar allowed only 6 hits as RVP International shut down Grace O’Malley’s 7 to 2.  A six run RVP International third was the difference as they defeated the first place team and improved their season record to 6 wins and 5 losses.  Mahar helped his own cause with a double, while Scott Samson tripled.  Gary Paracio added two singles.  Leading Grace O’Malley’s with a double and triple was Mark Tilly, Nick Noyes had two hits, and Kurt Ferris a double.

WEDNESDAY JULY 30TH

MEN’S E-SLOW

PRESS BOX 9 OSWEGO ALLIANCE 3

Press Box came a little closer to wrapping up the Men’s E-slow pitch title with a 9 to 3 win over Oswego Alliance.   Leading Press Box with two triples was Doug Campbell.  Mike Mc Crobie added three singles, while tom Frawley had a double.  Picking up hits for Oswego Alliance off winning pitcher bill Runeari, was Mark Wrolson with three while Pete Lake and Karl La Gray had two each.  In the fifth inning Press Box recorded a triple play.

LIGHT HOUSE LANES 8 CAM’S 4

Light House Lanes with two runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh, defeated Cam’s by a score of 8 to 4.  Jim Haynes and Bill Hibbert led Light House Lanes with three hits each, while Cam’s was led by Joe Harpst and Del Guile with two hits each.  Fran Searor added a triple, while Scott Mulhulland had a double.

MEN’S B-FAST

BUDWEISER 4 WHEAT’S EXCAVATION 2

Wheat’s Excavation after starting the season with 10 straight wins, lost their second in a row, as they fell to Budweiser 4 to 2.  Tied at one after three Budweiser scored twice in the fourth and added an insurance run in the seventh.  In this low scoring affair Budweiser was out hit by Wheat’s 4 to 2.

CUTRO’S PRO INSPECTIONS 5 OSWEGO QUALITY CARPETS 1

Cutro’s Professional Inspection moved to within two games of Wheat’s Excavation as they defeated Oswego Quality Carpets by a score of 5 to 1.  Mark Blanchard had a solo home run for Cutro’s too support the 5 hit pitching performance of Shawn Samson. Blanchard also tripled in the game, while Mike Sorzickas and Joe Salazzo each doubled.  Josh Crannell had two singles, while Mike Donavan had a single and double.  Greg Lavery led Oswego Quality Carpets with two singles and a triple.  In picking up the win, Samson struck out 10 while walking only 2.
