CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Oswego State junior forward Olivia Boersen (Stratford, Ontario) has been named ECAC West Women’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending December 2, 2012.
Boersen posted a six-point weekend for the Lakers, who posted a series sweep over Chatham, with a goal and five assists. She had a hand in four goals as part of a 6-1 win on Saturday. Boersen assisted Oswego State’s second, third and fifth goals, while scoring the fourth goal at 6:07 in the second period, prompting Chatham to call timeout.
In Sunday’s 4-0 win, she assisted the game’s first and last goals. On the season, Boersen now has ten points on four goals and six assists.
Oswego State, which is 6-4-1 overall and 6-2-0 in the league standings, closes out the 2012 portion of its schedule Saturday night against non-conference Amherst.
