Buffalo State shot a strong 54.9 percent (28-for-51) from the field as it defeated the Oswego State men’s basketball team 76-70 on Friday at home in Max Ziel Gymnasium.
The Lakers shot 36.2 percent (25-for-69), but hit eight three-pointers and pounded the offensive glass for 19 boards.
The Bengals had a balanced scoring attack as six scorers posted double figures. Chad Burridge (So., Hannibal, N.Y.) paced all scorers with 19 points to go along with 12 rebounds.
Oswego State fell to 7-6 overall and 2-5 in the SUNYAC, while Buffalo State moved to 6-7 and 4-3 in the league standings.
The Lakers return to the hardwood on Saturday against Fredonia in Oswego for a 4 p.m. tip-off. The Bengals will face Cortland on the road at 4 p.m.
