Oswego State Men’s Soccer Drops Game To Hamilton, 2-0

CLINTON – Two quick goals early in the second half vaulted Hamilton College to a 2-0 win over the Oswego State men’s soccer team (5-5-1) in Clinton, N.Y. on Tuesday in a make-up game first scheduled for Sept. 7.

Hamilton’s (3-4-1) Anthony Balbo scored in the 56th minute and added an assist on the Continentals’ second goal two minutes later.

The two teams each finished with six shots on goal in the game with the Lakers outshooting Hamilton 4-1 in the first half, but Oswego State was never able to find the back of the net.

Pat Breen (Sr., Palmyra, N.Y.) made four saves in his first start of the season in goal, while Andrew McBride (So., Syracuse, N.Y.) led the Lakers with three shots in the game.

The Lakers continue a five-game road-trip when they travel to Fredonia on Friday and Buffalo State on Saturday for a pair of SUNYAC games. missing or outdated ad config
