Oswego State Women’s Hockey Falls To Nepean 3-0 In Exhibition

The Oswego State women’s hockey team fell to the Nepean Wildcats 3-0 in an exhibition game at the Campus Center Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Laker offense struggled to generate many opportunities as it was out-shot 26-13 by Nepean, which was playing its 28th game of the season.

The Wildcats controlled the tempo of the game for the first two periods resulting in a first period goal and two second period goals. Oswego State came out strong in the third period creating offensive opportunities, but were unable to put the puck into the net.

The Lakers used all three goaltenders as Emi Williams (Jr., Anchorage, Alaska) had seven saves on eight shots, Megan Amlinger (So., Oakville, Ont.) posted five saves on seven shots, and Lana Peterson (Fr., Anchorage, Alaska) stopped 11 shots faced. Nepean goalies Catherine Cote and Mati Barrett combined for 13 saves.
