Oswego River report:
According to Larry Muroski of Larry’s Oswego Salmon Shop:
The water level is running at 8,830cfs this morning. This is a little high but fishable. With the cooler temperatures, a good number of salmon are running throughout the river with the highest concentration from the Utica St. bridge to the dam. Also look for a few brown trout and steelhead in the mix. The bait remains the same with hot-n-tots, fast tracks, estaz flies, woolly buggers, egg sacs, and crazy eggs working well. Although the water flow is a little fast right now, as it settles down the night fishing from the Utica Street bridge north will be good with cleos, rebel fast tracks and hot-n-tots working well.
Notice: The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) has closed the bridge over Oswego Canal’s Lock 7 at Leto Island. There is no fishing from Leto Island
Lake Ontario report:
The lake fishing is winding down for the season.
Salmon River report:

This was a super busy weekend with people from top to bottom. Reports were fair to great, depending on whom you talked to and where they were. The major pools throughout the Salmon River are loaded with kings and cohos. Everyone is catching fish! 81 Pool, Compactor, Sportsman, The Trestle and the gravel above the Sportsman pool are all holding good numbers of salmon. The fishing in the lower end of the river was steady with good numbers of kings moving through there throughout the weekend. Suggested patterns are comets, nymphs, large stoneflies and streamers. For the bait fisherman, blue, pink and chartreuse egg sacs have been the preferred colors of choice. Please remember to be careful, respect the water and use caution when wading.
Oneida Lake report:
According to Capt. Troy Creasy of High Adventure Sportfishing Charters:
On Oneida Lake perch fishing is very good. Fish in the shallows, in the weeds, around the weeds and in deep water; it all seems to be working with fathead minnows being the choice bait. Night casting for walleyes has not materialized although an occasional one has been jigged up in deep water. The water temperature is 60 degrees and things will pick up as the temperature drops into the mid 50s.
Sandy Pond report:
