Oz Roller Girls Host Doubleheader May 14

OSWEGO, NY – More familiar faces than ever will take to the floor when the Oz Roller Girls host a roller derby doubleheader — including the debut of intraleague play — on May 14.

The Oz Roller Girls main team will host Watertown’s Black River Rollers in the headline bout at Oswego’s Crisafulli Rink.

In the second match, the Oz league’s in-house teams, the Port City Sirens and the Nukes of Hazzard, will make their debut.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. start.

The league’s main bout features 14 of its top players, while intraleague matches allow all skaters who have passed skill tests to participate.

Several members of the Port City Sirens and Nukes of Hazzard will make their bout debut, the culmination of months of training.

As part of the Oz Roller Girls’ commitment to giving back to the community, part of the proceeds from the bout will benefit the Oswego County Humane Society.
