Pathfinder Bank has been named the event sponsor of the Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation Golf Classic to be held on August 4th, at the Oswego Country Club, according to event organizer Kevin Caraccioli.

This marks the third year that Pathfinder Bank has been the event’s major sponsor.

“We appreciate the continued support and commitment that Pathfinder Bank has shown Erik, and this annual golf event,” said Caraccioli. “Last year’s tournament was a huge success and Pathfinder Bank’s partnership played a major part in that.”

A new 3-on-3 Youth Hockey Classic, sponsored by Nike/Bauer, has been added to the weekend, and is slated for Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd at the Campus Center Ice Arena at SUNY Oswego.

The Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation was established in 2007 by Oswego-native, NHL hockey player, Stanley Cup Champion, and U.S. Olympian Erik Cole. The Foundation and this year’s golf/hockey events will benefit youth hockey programs, as well as children who are suffering from cancer and other diseases.

According to Caraccioli, this year’s golf tournament will showcase Cole, as well as other NHL players, national and regional media, and local celebrities. Celebrities committed thus far include: Oswego Native TJ Fox, forward for the AHL Worcester Sharks; Carolina Hurricanes Defensemen Joseph Corvo; Chicago Blackhawk Center Kevyn Adams; and New York Rangers Defensemen Andrew Hutchinson.

The event will be a four-person captain-n-crew format. The cost is $1,000 per team, and individuals can participate for $150. Tee & Green sponsorship signs are available for $300.

Team fees include 18 holes of golf at the Oswego Country Club, golf cart, lunch, cocktail party, dinner, tee and green signage and a gift bag. Individual fees include everything but the tee and green signage. Tickets for the cocktail party and dinner can be purchased separately for $45 per person.

Breakfast, registration and goodie bag pickup, as well as use of the Oswego Country Club Driving Range and Putting Green will be available from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Team photos and celebrity introductions will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. Cocktails and a silent auction begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner, an awards presentation, and live auction starting at 6:00 p.m.

AT&T has agreed to sponsor this year’s dinner for the event, and the Oswego Sub Shop has agreed to provide lunch at the turn for the 3rd straight year.

Anyone interested in making donations for the silent auction and/or for raffle prizes and/or to request a registration form for the Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation Golf & Hockey Classic, please call (315) 447-COLE (2653), or email [email protected].

The field is limited to 36 teams so it is recommended to get registration forms in immediately.
