KRAWCZYK, VERNON, QUINTANA TAKE VICTORIES IN HOLLAND MONDAY SPECIAL

Holland, NY – Dave Krawczyk of West Seneca, NY is on fire thus far in 2010 at the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex, as the defending Bank of Holland Charger Champion is now 2-for-2 on the season with his 50 lap victory on Memorial Day evening.

In other Holland Monday racing, Jake Vernon of Hamburg, NY took the honors in the INEX Legends National qualifier race, George Quintana of Eden, NY was victorious in the 4-cilinder Hornet event, and the Rev. Ron Friedersdorf of Victory Christian Church was the winner of the annual “Faster Pastor” race.

Dave Krawczyk too advantage of a lap 20 restart to motor his VSP Graphics/Clinton Auto Truck Monte Carlo around Zach Myers, then held off Myers on a restart just 7 laps from the finish to enjoy a two
victory weekend at the Western New York oval. Myers, who grabbed the lead from Rich Carnes on lap 9 before surrendering it to Krawczyk of the lap 20 restart, had to settle for a second place finish, while Rob
Miszczak crossed the strip in third.

Jake Vernon outsprinted Richie Vanterpool for the lead at the opening green of the 30 lap INEX Legends run, then kept the challenging Vanterpool at bay for the distance. The lead duo held a half-straightaway advantage over third place Jeremy Haudricourt at the finish.

After losing the Saturday night Hornet race lead on a bad late race restart, George Quintana had a clean run on Monday, getting his Boston Deli Nissan by Ashley Kirchberger for the top slot on lap 17 of the 30 lap go, then holding off a challenging Eric Brown through heavy lapped traffic for the victory. Brown chased Quintana home in second, while Jason Adams placed third in the caution-free race.

In the Faster Pastor finale, Rev. Ron Friedersdof edged Pastor Willy Odell of Hunter’s Creek Bible Baptist Church for the win. A total of 20 pastors took part in the event, which was a fund raiser for the home churches/parishes of the competitors. In the companion youth event, David Snyder of Hunter’s Creek Bible Baptist Church took the win over four other teen racers.
