OSWEGO – Box lacrosse returns to the Fort Ontario indoor rink this summer.
A new league is forming for boys finishing grades 8-12; games will be played on Thursday evenings starting June 21 and finishing up with playoffs and championship on August 9.
Registration and payment are due by June 11 and a live draft will take place that night at the Fallbrook Ski Lodge at 6 p.m.
Players must be registered and paid to be draft-eligible.
The four general managers – Carson Colucci, Evan Tesoriero, Quinn Jacobs, and Drake Morgia – will not only draft their teams, but also decide on team names, sponsors, and team colors.
Each team is expected to have 10-12 players.
No experience is necessary, and loaner equipment will be available.
Games will be played 6 vs. 6 (including the goalie) and no long sticks are allowed.
Registration also allows for participation in weekly pick-up games in the outdoor box.
The league is sponsored by the Oswego Lacrosse Club.
