OSWEGO, New York – Six different players scored for the Rudy’s Mite B Team in recent action, powering them to an 8-4 win over visiting Camillus at the Cullinan Ice Rink in Oswego.
A strong and relentless offensive attack by the Rudy’s squad in the first period got the B Mites out to an early 4-0 lead, and they then added five more goals over the remainder of the contest.
Both Mark Jones and Tyler Wallace contributed to the win with 2 goals apiece. Other goal scorers in the victory over Camillus included Lucas Shepardson, Cammi Ahern, Nick Burnett, and Andrew Noyes.
The goal by Noyes came late in the second quarter on a breakaway alongside Spencer Stepien on the Camillus side of the ice. Noyes lifted the puck over the shoulder of the Camillus goalie to help cap off the victory.
Jones also added two assists and Shepardson one in the game.
Cole Cullinan captured the win in net for Rudy’s with 4 saves on the day.
According to Coach Fierro, the entire squad played aggressive on both ends of the ice, with Stepien, Bryson Bush, Evan Giocondo, Isaiah Raby, Julia Roman, Anthony DiBlasi, and Katie Fierro each contributing to the victory.
